Rejected Uncertainty and the Power of Confusion
When uncertainty is mishandled, and we fail to recognize that being uncertain is simply a characteristic of the “middle miles” before arriving at a goal.
When all the efforts and struggles are passed, much of the path traveled will have been in partial light. Uncertainty is a condition of human life, and not an evil. The evils evolving from uncertainty -without faith- are fear and confusion.
‘Confusion’ is in the mix in ‘every evil work’. James says that, these conditions emerge in envying and strife . (James 3:16) And here a important connection appears:
Confusion resulting from uncertainty are much related to envying and strife. How so?
Because this is the condition of failing to acknowledge the authority of powers, Imaginations,
Even in personal matters we much prefer another to ourselves, for the sake of peace. This is not the usual concept of authority but it clearly is the result of putting God in His rightful place, who reigns in peace and righteousness.
We cannot improve on the formula of recognizing and respecting true authorities elementary to the order of creation and life. Envying and striving are a description of the state of affairs when false authorities are pitted against one another.
To flee uncertainty for a “quick fix” if to fall into the hands of confusion. There are many people and powers who claim to have answers, but the answers do not last. They satisfy only when fear and insecurity motivate, but in time confusion and desperation take hold.
This subject will preach, and paper the walls with valuable text, but the Palmist has already gotten to the end and delivered the answer:
The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob.

Don’t let a disorder in the spiritual authorities in life cause you to fall prey to confusion.
