Saul(who became the Apostle Paul) was a zealous Jew who was taught at the feet of Gamaliel he knew how serious it was to take the name of the Lord in vain. He hated the early church in that persecuted them for preaching Jesus. But on the road to Damascus when the light shone about him he asked this question WHO ART THOU LORD? Remember he was a jew that it had been drilled into him “Hear O Isreal: The LORD our God is one LORD.” Deut. 6:4 So he was in his mind addressing the Jehovah God of his youth. When heaven answered him ….The Lord said I AM JESUS.” Acts 9:3-5 The voice did NOT say I am God the Father and Jesus!!!!!!!!!!! The voice did NOT say I am the Blessed Trinity!!!! The Lord of heaven said I AM JESUS! JESUS is the Lord of and from Heaven and that Lord is God according to Deut. 6:4 The false teacher said Jesus is Lord but NOT God. But David said “Lord He is God.”(Psa.100:3) Moses said “the Lord He is God.” (Deut. 4:35) Jeremiah said “The Lord is the true God” (Jer.10:10) Isaiah said “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is NO God beside me.” (Isa.45:5) Paul knew all the passages from the OT when he asked the Lord who He was ? And the Lord which is God according to all these passages said ‘I AM JESUS!’ I am going to believe Heaven and reject everything and everyone else. SELAH!
